is what I'd (unimaginatively) title my experience shooting a short film in Serbia. It's all still pretty fresh and hazy at the same time, and I find myself remembering in two-second cuts. I stayed in a chic flat in the center of the city. I had a driver (!!!). My costar is probably the tallest and kindest Serbian actor in the history of ever. A Serbian burger is roughly the size of my face.
The production included my first unholy female triumvirate power team: director (Sandra), producer (Verica), and director of photography (Tanja). I was so excited to get crazy with a bunch of professionals. On the first morning we were in an abandoned building on an actual mental hospital's grounds. Later that day, we hauled an hour and a half away to an abandoned hotel with an incredible ballroom. Pedja's office was my favorite set, full of Soviet portraits and random dusty medical books in Cyrillic. He called me, "šiške" because, hello duh, that amazing bangs hairpiece that I rocked.
